Givz is a start-up that aims to revolutionize the giving experience. By using it, users can easily donate to any charity in the US through one platform, on any device, and have all their receipts organized in one place. They hired me to design their website and web app and help take their brand to a new level.

My Approach

Givz had some visual identity elements and a running website when they hired me. Those weren't done by a professional, though, and it showed. Their logo was visually fragile, their website had plenty of UX issues and the overall brand looked simply amateurish.

Instead of throwing out all the work they had done so far, I used it to get cues into what they were looking for in terms of aesthetics. I took their existing logo and improved it, making it capable of walking hand in hand with the professional-looking brand we wanted to establish. For the website redesign, I fine-tuned fonts, imagery, colors and it's overall style, making it appealing to the target audience - millennials. The web app was then created from scratch, using the same styles for consistency.

This redesign project got Givz on a new level, market-wise. It now looks as professional as it should be. It's techy and human at the same time. It's appealing and trustworthy and it has a concise and recognizable identity that can evolve over time and grow with the business.
